Dogs are called a “man’s best friend” for a good reason. Not only that they are a perfect companion, they are also very loyal and give us humans unconditional love.
Our canine friends also help reduce anxiety and stress. To most of us, dogs are not just pets. They are part of the family.
That is why, it is really heartbreaking whenever our furry friends cross over the rainbow bridge.
In this scenario, a pet owner who recently lost his beloved pooch, had an unusual funeral for his pet dog.
Netizen Richard Bulong Agustin Jr. from Ilocos Norte, shared photos of his dog’s funeral on Facebook.
What’s special about this is that, this is not just an ordinary burial for an animal. Richard literally had a church funeral for his shih tzu, complete with a priest.
Stanley, a Shih Tzu, passed away due to anemia. And his furparent Richard gave him a little coffin so he can be comfortable. The priest also held proper funeral and burial rites for him.
Even though Richard only had Stanley for two years, that did not stop him from treating him like a family. When Stanley was still alive, Richard would even throw him a birthday party.
Run free, Stanley!
