Graduation can be considered a “highlight” for a working student.
Especially knowing how hard it is to juggle work and school, only to get the diploma you want.
And if one graduates, families usually celebrate by going all out. Most common celebrations are eating out or throwing a party at home.

But for service crew Jay-ar Cañete Pangan of Butuan City, grand celebrations are not that important.
Because what is important for him is the diploma he carries, and the evidence that despite being poor, he was able to graduate.

According to a Facebook post from Sulit De-senyo, Jay-ar’s father asked for his son’s forgiveness for not being able to give him even a simple graduation party.
Instead of throwing a fit, however, Jay-ar told him it’s okay. Because now he can help his father provide for their family, and that’s what is important.

He will no longer let his father work alone and will in fact even repay the sacrifices he made for him.
Many netizens are touched by how good a son Jay-ar is to his father. That while they don’t have anything, they haven’t let the big day ruin it. Even though they do not have much, they did not let it ruin the big day.
