- A pedicab driver was able to let his daughter graduate college
- The father did not think his child will graduate Magna Cum Laude
- Even his daughter didn’t even think she would be Magna Cum Laude
Renato Ramos was able to let his daughter, Sandra Estefani Ramos, graduate college after a few years by being a pedicab driver. Sandra is a graduate of Bicol State College of Applied Sciences and Technology.
However, his father was shocked to find out that his daughter earned a 1.49 average in the Bachelor of Secondary Education course.
Sandra could hardly believe that she would become a magna cum laude because as she knew it, she has more intelligent batchmates than her.
Sandra had planned not to let her parents know that she is having an award because she wanted them to be surprised and excited about the event.
However, Sandra’s mother had just discovered her daughter is magna cum laude when the electric fan opened the folder containing documents about her magna cum laude.
Sandra’s parents were overjoyed because her father only finished grade 5 and her mother only finished high school.
Despite the hardships of his life, Renato managed to save his money by breaking down daily expenses even though he is a pedicab driver.
Sandra dreamed of becoming a teacher and her father supported it.
Sandra also posted on social media the story of her life, including a picture of her and her father as she rode the pedicab.
