A street dweller from Thailand has proven that looks can be deceiving.
This is after he, in cold cash, buys an expensive phone, despite being called out by security guards.
A Thai netizen named Pimpim Cooper shared photos of a homeless man on Facebook, wearing ragged clothes and carrying a dirty sack.
In the photos, you can see the man checking out some phones in a stall. Aside from wearing dirty clothes, you can also see that he is barefoot.
He really looked like a beggar, so we cannot really blame the guards for being suspicious.
In addition, after a smartphone has been chosen, he told the store assistant what he wanted without asking for its price.
The store assistant told him the price, and his cash was handed over. He did not even ask for a discount.
Once he was noticed by the guards, they approached him thinking he will do a scene inside the mall. That’s when the store assistant defended the beggar and told the guards he’s actually a customer.
He seems to be an educated man in the manner in which he speaks, given his appearance.
However, the netizens are now wondering where he got the money and why buying a mobile phone is his first priority.
